I'm back with my review and swatches of the Makeup Revolution palette in the colours Mermaids vs. Unicorns which I promised to do here - only took me a month!

I absolutely love this palette, however I don't wear it nearly as much as I should as I feel that the colours limit you to certain looks.

As you can see, the palette contains a lot of greens, blues and purples. These are all colours which I don't have the confidence to wear, nevertheless I love them! I have blue eyes but I think wearing blue eyeshadow seems rather outdated for an everyday look. That being said, I love the light greens in this palette! I done my sisters makeup for her prom and I used the lightest green shade on her eyes (her dress was mint green and she has green-blue eyes) and it looked lovely on her!

The swatches are quite pigmented, I wouldn't say that the pigmentation is as good as my Violet Voss Holy Grail or any of my higher end palettes, but for £4 the colour is good.

I done this swatch with no flash and the one below has flash on - as you can see the colours aren't completely opaque but I like how buildable the colours are.

Overall, I like the Mermaids Vs. Unicorns palette - I picked this palette up so hopefully I would wear brighter colours more often, and I definitely do use it even if it's not a lot. This palette only cost £4 and you can pick it up in Superdrug. If you're not too bothered about pigmentation and have the time to build it up, I recommend this palette.

I haven't tried any of the other Makeup Revolution palettes so if yo think any are good, be sure to let me know in the comments! Thanks for reading, Ashleigh♡xoxo
