Hi guys! Today I thought I'd do a post about my night skincare routine, and the importance of double-cleansing.

Double cleansing is essentially cleansing your face before you cleanse - usually by removing you makeup and then using your trusted cleanser. You can read more about double cleansing here.

I first off remove my makeup with my Garnier Micellar Water - which cost me £5 for the 700ml version but is £7.99 usually and you can get this in Boots and Superdrug, or any big supermarket, and there is almost always offers on the water. This stuff is a godsend for me! It removes all of my makeup easily, however you have to use repeatedly on your eyes to remove stubborn mascara and eyeliner.

Next thing I do is I wash my face once with water to remove the horrible watery foundation that is almost always left on your skin and apply some Vaseline to my eyelashes and eyebrows. This has a double effect - it helps to remove stubborn makeup and helps your lashes and brows grow!

I then wash my face with my Soap & Glory Face Soap & Clarity 3-in-1 Vitamin C Daily Facial Wash (which is a mouthful!) I've done a small review of this face wash which you can read here and also explained how I use it.

After I have done all this, my face usually feels stripped of moisture and tight so I apply my Soap & Glory Speed Plump moisturiser which is very thick (but not too heavy) and leaves my face feeling nourished and hydrated.

I then wait a bit (usually I do the next two steps before I go to sleep!) and apply my SkinKissed Serum* all over my face - this stuff is an absolute holy grail for me and has cleared up my skin so fast. It has also brightened my skin and evened out my skin tone and I would recommend this serum to anyone who asked! The lovely team at SkinKissed have given me a 20% code for my followers - just type in "bonjourashleigh20" at the checkout for 20% off!

My last product I use is my ASDA Spot Treatment Gel (which I think has been discontinued as I can't find it anymore). I love the fragrance of this gel, it smells like how you would expect a treatment gel to smell and is not too overpowering. I use this where I have spots and it helps!

That's all from me for today, hope you guys enjoyed reading my night routine and hopefully I was of use! Thanks for reading, Ashleigh♡xoxo

  1. Love reading posts like these! I too swear by the Garnier Micellar water, nothing else removes my eye makeup as well as it does!
