In a lot of respects, my
travel makeup bag is extremely like my summer makeup bag, and you can read my
summer favourite products here.
If you've spotted this bag before, it was in my "What's in my bag?" post.
In my makeup bag, I have my
MeechNMia Brow Pencil, which is in the shade medium brown and I am so obsessed
with it! I think it’s so easy to use and soooooo pigmented. I have okay looking
brows so I just use this pencil to fill in the sparse areas. Also for brows, I
use the Maybelline brow gel to set my brows in place. I use the colour
‘Transparent’ and it acts like hairspray on my eyebrows. My brows are quite
long and so I need to set them in place and this gel does the job!
I bought a “Big Beautiful
Eyes” set in duty free so I’ve been using that recently. I think this set is
amazing and for the price it’s worth it! This cost me £20 in duty free but is £26.50 on the Benefit website. I used to have this set before, but I lost it in London two
years ago, and have never replaced it, so when I seen this I knew I had to get
it! This set has three eyeshadow colours in it, a pearly pink base colour, a
taupe eye-contour shade and a dark brown liner shade! It also contains a
“Bo-ing” concealer in the shade 02, which I think is perfect for priming your
lids before using the shadows!
I have Maybelline’s “The
Falsies Push-Up Drama” mascara which I keep in my makeup bag, which I actually
hate, but it makes my lashes long enough after one coat. I think it clumps
easily, but it stays on forever, which is amazing, and it also lengthens and
thickens my lashes.
I also have a Rimmel London
eyeliner in my makeup bag, which isn’t as good for using on my waterline, but
it does the job. It is in the colour “Starlit Black” and is a sparkly black,
which I love as it really adds a bit to your eyes and makes them look extra
bright.
A product which I have a
love/hate relationship with is “Gogo Tint” from Benefit. I got a small tester
of this product with my August Birchbox, and my one qualm is how pink this
product is! For Cha-Cha Tint and Posie Tint, I need about two-three dots along
my cheeks to build the colour up and I don’t need that with this tint! I literally
need about one dot of this product for it to be vibrant. For those who are a bit lower maintenance with
their makeup routine, this may work for you, however after using the other two
tints I didn’t like it at all! But it’s a perfect pink colour for summer and it
works amazingly on my lips to give a “pink summery your-lips-but-better” look!
The final product which I
didn’t pack but also bought in duty free is a MAC lipstick in the shade “See
Sheer” and is a beautiful sheer coral pink lip colour! It is also a lustre
lipstick, which is great as it has a shine to it! I absolutely adore this lip
colour, from the second of seeing it, it just jumped out at me!
Go-go tint is the top swatch and 'See Sheer' is the one below. |
