I love lipgloss so much, it is so easy to swipe on and makes you look ten times better!! Side note: red lipstick does the same.
Changes in formula have made it a lot less sticky, so a lot more wearable. Funnily enough, I wore lipstick all the time when I was younger, and then stopped wearing it for literal years and then I got a Soap and Glory lipgloss for my Christmas a few years ago, and ever since then I have been obsessed! I go through periods where I wear lipstick and then periods where I like lipgloss more than anything.
Over the years, I have collected a fair few lipglosses that I love and have whittled it down to four that I love and rotate when I feel like wearing lipgloss.
My first one that I love is my Lip Tar from Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics. I’m a bit confused by this, because it claims on it that it’s a primer, but it has an oily texture and is quite glossy. So, I’m not 100% sure how it can be a primer but I wear it as a moisturising gloss. It has no colour to it and you can get ones with colour tinted into them! It has a super moisturising feeling and it is such a nice feeling, it smells really nice which is also a bonus! It is just a lovely gloss to pop on when your lips feel dry and it moisturises them.
Next, I got the Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker lipgloss in the colour ‘Plums Up’ and I love it! When I first seen the colour, I thought it’d be a really pigmented purple gloss, but it’s actually really sheer and lovely! I think it’s such a wearable lipgloss colour, and it’s sheer enough that it gives you a tint with a shine.

My third favourite is my NYX Butter Gloss in the shade ‘Peach Cobbler’, and this colour is a lot more pigmented, and I would say it is like a peach lipstick with a clear gloss over it. I think this colour is super pretty and is lovely for the days when you want to look like you’re wearing more makeup than you actually are.
My newest lipgloss that I love is my Sephora lipgloss in the shade ‘Coral Confession’ which I believe I picked up for around 8 euros in the sale in Sephora when I went to Milan. Like ‘Peach Cobbler’, this shade is pretty, pigmented and is so wearable. It feels so great on your lips and reminds me of sunny, summer days!
Hope you’re having a good day today guys!!
